About Jasmine

Jasmine Mangalaseril is a public relations and communications consultant, and freelance food writer.  Described as quick-witted and insightful, she pairs recipes with the stories behind them.   Since 2005 she’s authored one of Canada’s first and longest-running foodblogs, Confessions of a Cardamom Addict. Her food diarisation has earned international notice, including features on Culture.ca, Delish.com, and Foodtv.ca, as well as media coverage in Canadian Press, CanWest News, SRC, CanadianLiving.com and Taste Magazine.  She lives in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada with two cats.  Her latest food writing project, Rye and Ginger, looks at Waterloo Region’s culinary and social history.
