The VGT Ominivore's Hundred

If you are a regular foodblog reader you've probably found one of the more than 3000 mentions about the VGT Omnivore's Hundred. The rules are simple...mark which of the 100 listed foods you've partaken in.

I think it's a great idea--by no means is the list supposed to be a be-all and end-all list of foods we must have--but it has a nice cross section of things to nibble on.

The way I've done it is to grey out the ones I've not eaten (can't figure out the strikethrough command), the bits in blue are things I won't have and what's in pink are my comments.

  2. You know, my grand mother used to make head cheese and it was really very good.

Many of your grey items are super easy to try; broscht, epoisse, gumbo, sea urchin....I hope you'll post this list again once you've had time to hit a few Toronto restaurants!

  4. Hey Jasmine! It's Linda from Milan. Don't know if you remember me from the PR course. Anyway, I am really looking forward to going through this list. But I don't see any mention of Timmy's chocolate dip donuts. That can't be right!

  6. You are a good, sensible girl. I, however, am not going to eat snake unless forced or tricked into it!

  7. Thought of you today...while working with cardamom...as I often do, & as the mind often wanders to the CA. Hope you're doing great. I began the 'O' 100...didnt fare anywhere near anything as am least adventurous, so abandoned plans in a hurry. Loved reading yours though...LOL

Thanks for stopping by.

I love visitor reactions but not anonymous notes, comments which went one round too many on the spin cycle, part of an inflammatory campaign, or those best left for the compost heap. And yes, comments left by "content marketers" are spam, in my eyes and will be dealt with accordingly.

The recipes I post have worked for me, but if you've had problems, I'll do my best to help. Attacks based on results because you've not followed what I've posted (changed ingredients, cooking methods and/or quantities) won't be posted.

In other words: be kind or constructive, not libellous or smarmy.
