A toy! A brand new toy for me!

After what seems like months of looking for the mythical beast that was my mum's ice cream maker (I found the box: empty, of course), I finally bought my own maker (pictured left)

Yay!

Now I'm waiting for the bowl to freeze so I can make my first batch of ice cream.

I have to stop myself from checking the freezer every couple of hours to see if it is frozen yet.

I'm so impatient.

cheers!

  1. Yay!

While I am happy for you, I'm even happier for me because I know that I will be the beneficiary of all the wonderful posts you will put upu about all the incredible ice cream you will be making.

    Yay!

  2. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I wish I could get an ice cream maker. I bought some of the fake stuff at the store (the stuff that isn't made with an anglaise base) and it costs too much!

  6. Hello all

Ivonne--I've mixed my first...ummmm...batter, brine, whatever...I probably won't be able to churn it until tomorrow.

Mochene--I know what you mean. We used to have a really good all-natural brand, but the accountants got a hold of the recipes...at least that's my guess.

Kat--you'll just have to be patient. Let's just say I was inspired by another blogger.

Paz--you know I will. And yes, the muffin recipe is coming.

Chas--once you've tried home-made, it's really hard to go back to store bought. Save up and buy one. Really.

FC&E--Welcome! I'm hoping to inagurate it tomorrow. I'm in Canada, but I paid $80 for the maker with two bowls (I normally see the maker with one bowl for $75-80), so I think I got quite a nice deal.

Sam--Between you, me and Tania, I think we may convince bloggerdom that Canadians do survive on ice cream alone :) I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by.

I love visitor reactions but not anonymous notes, comments which went one round too many on the spin cycle, part of an inflammatory campaign, or those best left for the compost heap. And yes, comments left by "content marketers" are spam, in my eyes and will be dealt with accordingly.

The recipes I post have worked for me, but if you've had problems, I'll do my best to help. Attacks based on results because you've not followed what I've posted (changed ingredients, cooking methods and/or quantities) won't be posted.

In other words: be kind or constructive, not libellous or smarmy.
